Igor Lebas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, KaoS Futbol Club's Igor Lebas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Albino Olayo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierluigi Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 15th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Santino Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Igor Lebas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, KaoS Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Pierluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When KaoS Futbol Club's Igor Lebas in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Igor Lebas scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-1. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pierluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Lebas came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Lebas in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. Narciso Noe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Lebas made a kick off. Igor Lebas took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 62nd match minute, KaoS Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Abram Sarmiento scored 3-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierluigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. KaoS Futbol Club made a substitution. Andres Baresi replaced León Ponzio. 78 minutes into the match, Igor Lebas notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 85th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after KaoS Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Mastache took the corner. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Pierluigi Buffon threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kevin Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 91st minute. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
