Santos Sidro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. The throw-in from Gilberto Fagildo in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Santos Sidro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luz Tejedor's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Stanislao made a kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Stanislao received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Denis Stanislao slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 65th minute. Santos Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. When Peru's Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sacronas Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute, Rafael Gallo made a precise shot to the right of Santos Sidro. Sacronas Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
