An unexpectedly hard shot by Miro Bezhanski in the 26th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 31st managed to get into a good position. Damyan Kotevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wladyslaw Modrzewski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladyslaw Modrzewski kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ikonom Gerginov in the 47th minute.

Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miro Bezhanski's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Bezhanski in the 92nd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
