Fidel Kimetz charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Kimetz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Fidel Kimetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigih Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes in the game Marti Veenpere did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Herminio Distiratsu. Herminio Distiratsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Kimetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yin Bin Shi made a kick off. Fidel Kimetz scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
