With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Gedeon Káposztás tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute Gedeon Káposztás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andréas Linquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gedeon Káposztás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig suffered a concussion in the 80th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 80 minutes into the game, Geovanildo Zago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Papão de WC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. After 80 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanildo Zago. Grêmio Papão de WC's William Simão was substituted for Geovanildo Zago. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Geovanildo Zago got a free kick in the 81st minute. Jâninho Melo made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gedeon Káposztás immediately put the ball in play. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 88th minute. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edson Faria was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Papão de WC's players had a chance to rest. Grêmio Papão de WC's Edson Faria was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd match minute, Grêmio Papão de WC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Perrando to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grêmio Papão de WC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
