After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Sancho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Baltasar Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacro Balompié's Baltasar Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 13th minute of play. Israel Berenguer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Hermengildo Mazuste in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. Peru's attentive Joaquin Prats managed to snatch the ball when Hermengildo Mazuste made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Israel Berenguer made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Victorio Jax. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Almiron was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltasar Sancho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Julian Murillo scored 1-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Sancho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Peto in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Baltasar Sancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
