Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sam Campbell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mickaël Maris. That made the score 1-2 in the 94 minute of play.
