In the 6th minute Vinicio Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Vinicio Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 11thth minute of the game Nuno do Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Nuno do Nascimento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th minute, Santino Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 25th minute, Claudio Graziano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 26th minute of the match. If Vinicio Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Mastache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Guararapes's Ragıp Işık slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 2-1 after 33 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Dida Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guararapes's goalkeeper Romeu Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Tenorio Urrue tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romeu Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Romeu Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luis Cazalla hit a great ball. Guararapes's Romeu Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Guararapes's Romeu Guedes got control of the ball when Santino Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Guararapes's Francisco Rencio was substituted for Ragıp Işık. Jacinto de Castro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, José Pedro Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pedro Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Romeu Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 84th minute of the match. Abram Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Guedes having to interfere. Guararapes made a substitution. Cristian Cordoba replaced Vinicio Bermudo. Abram Secada took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Guedes. Romeu Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Cristian Cordoba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guararapes had won after a very even match.
