Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Poremba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Stefan Niemojewski sent off a good shot on target. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varsovia's goalie prevented a goal. Varsovia's attentive Cyryl Budrewicz managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. Varsovia's Antoni Poremba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play. Antoni Poremba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoni Poremba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antoni Poremba saved Varsovia from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 28th minute of play forced Varsovia's goalkeeper Antoni Poremba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Niemojewski to make the kick off. Antoni Poremba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Niemojewski in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stefan Niemojewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Antoni Poremba made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Antoni Poremba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Varsovia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Rouco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Varsovia's Kazimierz Dobilas was substituted for Wincenty Skorny. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Antoni Poremba in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Antoni Poremba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antoni Poremba made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 90th minute. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Facundo Cadaval. The Varsovia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
