Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Independiente's Napoleon Dropinski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. In the 4th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jorg Pieters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorg Pieters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pepe Santoro came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Felipe Roldan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Roldan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Guillermo Mariano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independiente:s goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Isidoro Beltran. But to his dismay, Isidoro Beltran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Napoleon Dropinski was slow to take the kick. During this time Independiente's players had a chance to rest. A throw-in in the 38th minute of the game was made by Mateo Mendez with Jorg Pieters as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 39 minutes, Sören Bengtsson made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Beltran in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Beltran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Isidoro Beltran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Isidoro Beltran. But to his dismay, Isidoro Beltran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Beltran's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Isidoro Beltran scored 6-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorg Pieters, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Beltran came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Beltran scored 7-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 86th minute Jorg Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Independiente booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes, Jorg Pieters made it 8-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Isidoro Beltran. But to his dismay, Isidoro Beltran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independiente.
