Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty King in the 13th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Marty King had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marty King was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Griffiths in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Griffiths in the 18th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 20 played minutes, Heavenly Hooters's Marty King shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Heavenly Hooters reached it. After 34 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Feng Feng in the 36th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Todd Griffiths cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Jake Grayson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the game, Heavenly Hooters's Marty King nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Heavenly Hooters were winning 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Todd Griffiths could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Marty King succeeded in the game's 55th minute to get real power on a long shot . Costa Rica's Benito Sanz hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-8! Heavenly Hooters's Todd Griffiths was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 61st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phil Naylor in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heavenly Hooters the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Todd Griffiths capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Todd Griffiths really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. 71 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todd Griffiths. In the 74th minute, Todd Griffiths left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heavenly Hooters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-13 when Marty King sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Todd Griffiths who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Griffiths in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Marty King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Todd Griffiths sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz de Moraes came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Heavenly Hooters could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
