Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Psycho-Circus's Talib Temelj slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Talib Temelj in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Enrique Najarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Psycho-Circus's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Najarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 邓真义 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taniel Jaanovits hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 武 杨广, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 64th minute of play forced Psycho-Circus's goalkeeper 邓真义 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If 武 杨广 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Psycho-Circus made a substitution. Andres Calamaro replaced 武 杨广. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got 邓真义's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Enrique Najarro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Psycho-Circus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Najarro couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Calamaro in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After having played for 81 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Psycho-Circus's Alexis MacAlister was substituted for Ähsän Xudadverdiyev. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute Andres Calamaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Calamaro in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Psycho-Circus could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
