LEBEG Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Alberto Cavanna hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arrigo Talone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Achille Di Cesare stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, LEBEG Team's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Arrigo Talone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Talone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LEBEG Team's Arrigo Talone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Arrigo Talone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Fulvio Colagrossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Joel Gaona from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Arrigo Talone's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luca Zorita scored 0-6 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Talone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Arrigo Talone in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arrigo Talone, 0-7. Arrigo Talone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of play. LEBEG Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Joel Gaona scored to the left of an out of position Arrigo Talone, making the score, 0-8.
