Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 12th minute Vítor Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hortêncio Donato's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 21stth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denílson Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 0-2 became the score in the 24th minute when Francisco Seco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiaguinho Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 30th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Cöpacabana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cöpacabana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Tiaguinho Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Jaime Cazalla struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Tiaguinho Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. After having played for 47 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cöpacabana FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Vítor Soares made the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tiaguinho Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiaguinho Mazza having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Soares came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza. Tiaguinho Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Tiaguinho Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 96th minute.
