In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Black horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balvis Kiberkalns to maneuver through the defense. Black horses's Valdis Felbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Black horses's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Valdis Felbergs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Black horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andžs Redzobs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Cipriano Sauveur dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-0. Valdis Felbergs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 32nd minute of the match. Cipriano Sauveur kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Black horses's Valdis Felbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 43rd minute of play.

Valdis Felbergs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute. After 53 played minutes Black horses got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Sauveur. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdis Felbergs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 57th minute of the match. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Black horses made a substitution. Atso Joenväärä replaced Jakub Swierczok. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdis Felbergs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Larry Houben fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black horses's protests and gave Larry Houben a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when Black horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Houben didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdis Felbergs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atso Joenväärä went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Black horses's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valdis Felbergs quite easily take care of the ball. Cipriano Sauveur took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Black horses were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
