Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 7th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 8th minute of play. Eliseo Mina scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Falcão Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 18thth minute of the game Augusto Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rubens Rezende who took care of the corner kick. Rubens Rezende made a great header on Gracie Barra's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 36th minute of play. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. Thiago Silvan made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. In the 47th match minute, Gracie Barra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Pedro Velloso got a free kick in the 51st minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Gracie Barra were awarded a corner. Rubens Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Falcão Cunha made a huge save. In the 65th minute of the match, Eliseo Mina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Falcão Cunha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gracie Barra's Hugo de Queirós was substituted for Jamey Hankins. Gracie Barra's Emanuel de Lara was substituted for Augusto Saldanha. Thiago Silvan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Falcão Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's 柯锋真 got a free kick in the 89th minute.
