Gigel Botescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manilan Monterrey in the 20th minute of the match. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Gigel Botescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pero Barrutia in the 26th minute of play. Kamuran Balcıoğlu made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pero Barrutia. 34 minutes into the match, Manilan Monterrey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gigel Botescu, 1-1.
