Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javiero Frias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiero Frias in the 59th minute of play. Vidal Peñin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Vidal Peñin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Barrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javiero Frias in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Many of Curacao's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Curacao may have spent more time on the ball, but Kaliningrad were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
