Argentinos de Bien's Cayetano Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Argentinos de Bien defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Urtsin. The Argentinos de Bien fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Urtsin should have stopped the shot. Cayetano Remigio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Argentinos de Bien's Cayetano Remigio managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cayetano Remigio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 10 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Urtsin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Urtsin. Alfredo Urtsin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 20th minute Antonio Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Urtsin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Urtsin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Argentinos de Bien's Alfredo Urtsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Argentinos de Bien got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Hustaz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 47th minute of play forced Argentinos de Bien's goalkeeper Alfredo Urtsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
51 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Urtsin, 0-11. 54 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredo Urtsin. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. In the 63rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Urtsin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Urtsin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredo Urtsin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agustín Saelices showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 66 minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Urtsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-15. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-16 in the 72nd playminute. 75 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Urtsin. Argentinos de Bien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-17. 78 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Urtsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-18. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-19 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredo Urtsin came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-20 in the 85th minute. Alfredo Urtsin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-21 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argentinos de Bien's Alfredo Urtsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Urtsin. Argentinos de Bien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-22. Ecuador played a much better game than Argentinos de Bien and deserved their victory. The Argentinos de Bien players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
