Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 19 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Erling Franks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Maurinho Tróia. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Erling Franks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Benê Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. Benê Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the 20 DE SETEMBRO defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benê Goiano. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benê Goiano should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Iztal Marisancena managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 DE SETEMBRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Iztal Marisancena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Maurinho Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Mai Yu Yang got a free kick in the 66th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benê Goiano came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 68th minute. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Benê Goiano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Iztal Marisancena came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Erling Franks fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 20 DE SETEMBRO's protests and gave Erling Franks a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes 20 DE SETEMBRO got a freekick which was hit by Erling Franks. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erling Franks's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Benê Goiano made a huge save. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Franks came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iztal Marisancena struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 20 DE SETEMBRO. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Arí Furtado was substituted for Iztal Marisancena. 20 DE SETEMBRO made a substitution. Orlando Nóbrega replaced Erling Franks. Ecuador played a much better game than 20 DE SETEMBRO and deserved their victory. The 20 DE SETEMBRO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
