The corner led to Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Abram Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha. Dalmo Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Axel Montenegro sped through Jovens Democratas MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmo Saldanha. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 96 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar.
