Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Marin Ailenei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vismants Kukurudzjaks went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. FC Riga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jimmy Svenningsted in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tincho Breide got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 27thth minute of the game Marin Ailenei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Ailenei in the 30th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Saivis Kikals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Ailenei in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marin Ailenei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marin Ailenei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Saivis Kikals. With an all-out effort, FC Riga's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marin Ailenei, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
