Hipolito Ponce in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Patricio Costa scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loreto Palanques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. AlmaToran's Cris Tellado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 9th minute of the game. Hipolito Ponce struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AlmaToran. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Ponce in the 15th minute of play. 温威兴 kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Arotza Dobarral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loreto Palanques having to interfere. The throw-in from Cris Tellado in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loreto Palanques saved AlmaToran from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Ponce in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes AlmaToran got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Contera. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arotza Dobarral, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, AlmaToran's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Loreto Palanques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Ponce in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hipolito Ponce came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the AlmaToran fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Ponce couldn't finish the play. Loreto Palanques made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AlmaToran's Aztore Aroztegui was substituted for Chale Trabeso. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Ponce in the 67th minute of play. Hipolito Ponce took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arotza Dobarral in the 70th minute of play. Chan Mariny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Ponce in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loreto Palanques having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, AlmaToran's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Loreto Palanques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loreto Palanques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. AlmaToran's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Tomas Illescas scored to the left of an out of position Loreto Palanques, making the score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in AlmaToran's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loreto Palanques came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
