In the 5th minute, 庄雄雄 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Severo Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 10th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo managed to reach the ball for a save. Severo Elequemedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Severo Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Santos Borré recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Adolfo Millano got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Santos Borré stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo. Severo Elequemedo made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes, Leon Tono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 82nd minute of the match Ruhi Ongay completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ruhi Ongay a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ruhi Ongay hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Tono kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severo Elequemedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. 庄雄雄 hit a great ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
