River CBBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Funes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Juan Funes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Argoitz Abeijon kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Juan Funes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River CBBA. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 17th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Edward Mcdonald notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argoitz Abeijon in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Argoitz Abeijon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 32nd minute of play. Zach Harrison hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Sergio Batista broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The wind increased when Juan Funes made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 57th minute of play. When Monty Rogers came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Monty Rogers couldn't finish the play. If Arano Abendano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River CBBA made a substitution. Ponciano Abarca replaced Juan Funes. River CBBA's Cipriano Abechuco was substituted for Varis Birgelis. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. MatÃas Almeida hit a great ball. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. River CBBA were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guerau Abeitia took the corner. After taking down the ball on River CBBA's corner Argoitz Abeijon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA's Edward Mcdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Guerau Abeitia fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River CBBA's protests and gave Guerau Abeitia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Guerau Abeitia got a free kick in the 89th minute. Marcelo Barovero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Khalid Parry's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After 90th play minutes Khalid Parry shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Marcelo Barovero and just under the crossbar into goal. USA played a much better game than River CBBA and deserved their victory. The River CBBA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
