Axel Tasis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Saadettin Başesgi made a huge save. Eflani SK's Saadettin Başesgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 20th minute of play. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eflani SK's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Kafadar, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute of the match, Axel Tasis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Saadettin Başesgi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. After 55th play minutes Dilaver Topçam shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Dilaver Topçam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Halil İbrahim Özyuva was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saadettin Başesgi saved Eflani SK from getting behind. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Eflani SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilaver Topçam didn't get a good kick on the ball.
