Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Monta started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Cirquelo FC's Teofilo Goyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Monta, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With 5 minutes on the clock, Alan Moruga commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Cirquelo FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daniel Terrilla came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Cirquelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Terrilla couldn't finish the play. Daniel Redondas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Axel Tasis got in the 9th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Castillo Sirguero. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Teofilo Goyo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th minute, Julian Monta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 20 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. After having played for 22 minutes, Tonio Corullon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirquelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonio Corullon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Monta in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Tonio Corullon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tonio Corullon came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Monta came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cirquelo FC's Julian Monta. But to his dismay, Julian Monta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Noboa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Castillo Sirguero. That made the score 2-4 in the 45 minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Noboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Julian Monta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirquelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Monta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Teofilo Goyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cirquelo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Monta in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Terrilla scored 2-6 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute Julian Monta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Terrilla in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Monta came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tonio Corullon came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Terrilla got free with Benito Sanz in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Cirquelo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute of the match, Julian Monta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Terrilla in the 79th minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polo Badas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cirquelo FC's Julian Monta in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. If Julian Monta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Monta's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Cirquelo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
