The supporters of AIF booed when Kordoso Karkanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aziz Songur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gökhun Askeroğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Collin in the 7th minute of the match. Anton Harlén charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 16 minutes, Stefan Collin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Collin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Aydemir Tacal came free, but Edgar Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aktuğ Ünsi in the 21st minute of play. Edgar Brenner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aktuğ Ünsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktuğ Ünsi in the 26th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Edgar Brenner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bror Skoog got free with Gökhun Askeroğlu in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Kordoso Karkanis getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Afşin Tamerkin hit a great ball. The long shot by Stefan Collin in the 30th minute really tested Gökhun Askeroğlu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. AIF's Edgar Brenner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayati Zeval in the 32nd minute of play. Bror Skoog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to AIF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Anton Harlén hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Aktuğ Ünsi came free, but Edgar Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stefan Collin came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the AIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Collin couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aktuğ Ünsi made a kick off. Gökhun Askeroğlu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AIF's Stefan Collin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. If Karl-Michael Bergstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökhun Askeroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Skoog, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
