After 4 minutes, Humberto Leocadio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA DEL MONO and the Talento Futebol clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Delin in the 14th minute of play. Eugenio Nisio's late challenge caught a Talento Futebol clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Nisio helped the player get up and apologised. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Bastos in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Betinho Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Velasco came free, but Fabio Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes LA DEL MONO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gualter Proença who took care of the corner kick. Tadeu Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA DEL MONO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gualter Proença was slow to take the kick. During this time Talento Futebol clube's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Gualter Proença got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabio Betadur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Talento Futebol clube's Gabriel Hoffmann got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Octavio Ospetsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabio Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Delin in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Talento Futebol clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Velasco to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Leocadio. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Betinho Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA DEL MONO's protests and gave Betinho Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, LA DEL MONO's Betinho Falcão got a free kick in the 57th minute. José Maria Souza made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Humberto Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Bastos in the 68th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Mateo Rudolfo put in a rough tackle. 95 minutes into the game, one of LA DEL MONO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gualter Proença shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
