Bengt Alegren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leandro Ricoy. The goal made the score 1-0. Christoffer Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Brandin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Ricoy having to interfere. The supporters of Kärnan BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Kärnan BK's goalkeeper Leandro Ricoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas.

Eddie Godholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Christoffer Brandin came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Kärnan BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoffer Brandin couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Christoffer Brandin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Kärnan BK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Leandro Ricoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leandro Ricoy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert in 66 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Leandro Ricoy guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 68th minute, Kärnan BK's Eddie Godholm dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Leandro Ricoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Godholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Ricoy came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eddie Godholm 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Godholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Christoffer Brandin fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kärnan BK's protests and gave Christoffer Brandin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kärnan BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoffer Brandin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christoffer Brandin kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Venezuela succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kärnan BK had controlled the match.
