Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ramon Diaz started the match with the kick off. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ruben Salvator tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when A. Korn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jósep Guardiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruben Salvator kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 21stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ecuador's keeper Julio Vera was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 24 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Cornel Vulpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. Korn's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornel Vulpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Ruben Salvator left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. Korn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Salvator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When A. Korn's Ramon Diaz in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Vulpe in the 54th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. When Alvaro Urtsin came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the A. Korn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Urtsin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ramon Diaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ramon Diaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of A. Korn booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. That made the score 1-2 after 80 minutes of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Salvator in the 85th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Salvator in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute A. Korn were awarded a corner. Cornel Vulpe went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Gonzalo Inautzi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ramon Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ecuador players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
