The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Benjamin Mazza in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 minutes of play, Rockets's Róbson Messias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Alan Campos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Messias in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 44th minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson Messias got free with Jacobo Nores in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ronaldo Gol, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Róbson Messias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rockets getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Toninho Terra hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rockets walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
