In the 28th minute, Peanut Lord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peanut Lord got free with Rolando Noboa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zorion Carić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Peanut Lord kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zorion Carić. Zorion Carić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Zorion Carić made a huge save. In the 65th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Slipmaskinerna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Moises Gayoso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Slipmaskinerna made a substitution. Dumetochukwu Evaggellopoulos replaced Styrbjörn Nilsson. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zorion Carić firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 90th minute Dumetochukwu Evaggellopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Mastur Bates made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
