With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Antheunis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zachary Krzynowek came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glenn Antheunis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Zachary Krzynowek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glenn Antheunis. The Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glenn Antheunis should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glenn Antheunis saved Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL from getting behind. A collision led to Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Eevald Asmer hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Xaläddin Soltanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Antheunis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 65th minute of play forced Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL's goalkeeper Glenn Antheunis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Glenn Antheunis made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Martinez in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glenn Antheunis was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador played a much better game than Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL and deserved their victory. The Fanático Pirate De BRAZIL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
