Rockets's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Messias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Mazza having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Rockets's Ronaldo Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Messias in the 95th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
