Jukatriz's Natanael Furlan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arif Ozan Sureha in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jukatriz's Oséas Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Jukatriz from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Ozan Sureha in the 15th minute of play. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Oséas Albuquerque when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 31 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Furlan. Oséas Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Matxin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jukatriz's Oséas Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Illimar Truupõld managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Oséas Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséas Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Cássio de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 80 minutes Jukatriz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Jukatriz's Cássio de Alcântara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arif Ozan Sureha. Natanael Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Oséas Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Matxin in the 93rd minute of play. Oséas Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
