After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Göran Unesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 84th minute, Team Rocco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Team Rocco's Alfred Samuelsson got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th of the match, Joel Gaona tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 94th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Team Rocco were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
