The audience was convinced that Maximino Arnau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Lucila was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The supporters of MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN booed when Silver Play 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Delmiro Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Lucila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Teodosio Francesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Arnau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Lucila having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Delmiro Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Lucila. Silver Play 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Silver Play 2's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Fernandez came free, but Tomás Lucila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Ugla in the 29th minute of play forced MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's goalkeeper Gordon Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Omar Rioja fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silver Play 2's protests and gave Omar Rioja a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Maximino Arnau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Arnau in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Lucila saved Silver Play 2 from getting behind. Gordon Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Francesco in the 37th minute of play. Tomás Lucila came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Ulises Gutierrez. But to his dismay, Ulises Gutierrez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gordon Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Francesco in the 46th minute of play forced MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's goalkeeper Gordon Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Tomás Lucila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Silver Play 2's Carlos Carrio was substituted for Åke Ugla. The wind increased when Teodosio Francesco made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Tomás Lucila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Arnau. In the 55th minute MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN were awarded a corner. Narciso Jenaro went to the cornerflag to take it. When Maximino Arnau came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Arnau couldn't finish the play. Gordon Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Francesco in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Delmiro Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delmiro Fernandez took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Lucila. Tomás Lucila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Francesco in the 87th minute of play forced MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's goalkeeper Gordon Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Arnau in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomás Lucila, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Silver Play 2 defense, Delmiro Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Lucila. The Silver Play 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Lucila should have stopped the shot. Tomás Lucila made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Delmiro Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Arnau in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
