After a defensive mix-up in Alpachiri AFC's zone, Ismael Abalos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Shantala came out of the goal and Ismael Abalos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Bartolome in the 9th minute of the match. Johnny Ramone kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, Alpachiri AFC's Roman Shantala got control of the ball when Laureano Vergaray tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Adrogue FC's Laureano Vergaray ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roman Shantala. Roman Shantala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Alpachiri AFC booed when Adrogue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Funes Mori didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Santiago Txilar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Adrogue FC's Franco Armani. Franco Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laureano Vergaray had several of the Alpachiri AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Roman Shantala as he didn't even see the shot coming. Franco Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Txilar's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When Laureano Vergaray came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Adrogue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Vergaray couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Patricio Bartolome managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpachiri AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Bartolome was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Armani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Adrogue FC's 高文乐 got a free kick in the 35th minute. Franco Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Vergaray's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roman Shantala firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpachiri AFC's goalkeeper Roman Shantala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Alpachiri AFC defense, Nestor Chucho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Shantala. The Alpachiri AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Shantala should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laureano Vergaray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner led Alpachiri AFC's Cido Araújo to fire away a dangerous shot which Franco Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Juan Pablo Angel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Shantala having to make a save. Adrogue FC's Franco Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Savier in the 69th minute of play. Laureano Vergaray might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Shantala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Pablo Angel in the 98th minute of play forced Alpachiri AFC's goalkeeper Roman Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrogue FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ismael Abalos in the 100th minute. After taking down the ball on Adrogue FC's corner Ismael Abalos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roman Shantala quite easily take care of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alpachiri AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Adrogue FC.
