The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ask Stamnes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Isias in the 5th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Borges got free with Ask Stamnes in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Tano came free, but Lázaro Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Porfirio might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ask Stamnes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicanor Porfirio ran back to his position shaking his head. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Boulogne F.C. from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Quilo Correa in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Juniors FC's Paulino Osoitz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Isias got free with Ask Stamnes in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Trentini in the 19th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Juniors FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Daniel Loi hit a great ball. With a little luck, Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes got control of the ball when Uriel Isias tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Trentini in the 32nd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Boulogne F.C.'s Quilo Correa got a free kick in the 37th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco was substituted for Uriel Isias. Juniors FC's Jerzy Piszczor was substituted for Daniel Loi. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Frasco was the one to do the kick off. Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ask Stamnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Frasco in the 60th minute of play. Lázaro Colon made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Marcelo Martins sent off a good shot on target. Enrique Frasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Juniors FC were awarded a corner. Nicanor Porfirio went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Nicanor Porfirio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ask Stamnes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ask Stamnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gervaso in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ask Stamnes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 83 minutes into the match, Boulogne F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Frasco came free, but Ask Stamnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Enrique Frasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ask Stamnes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Enrique Frasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ask Stamnes having to make a save. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Frasco in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Trentini in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Colon saved Juniors FC from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Quilo Correa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Juniors FC's Wlodzimierz Lepper quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ask Stamnes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Frasco's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Frasco in the 98th minute of play.
