After a rather tough play, Lobos de Carelia's Saul Montrel got a free kick in the 4th minute. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Prospero Perico sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo got control of the ball when Prospero Perico tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 played minutes Lobos de Carelia got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Perico. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Lobos de Carelia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Cerritos took the corner. The corner led Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Leopoldo Rosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Cortez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 18 played minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Cerritos. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Prospero Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Prospero Perico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobos de Carelia's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Perico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Libertad in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 31st minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a corner. Lobos de Carelia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Cerritos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Vasile Tufescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Buckner came free, but Nestor Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Buckner in the 36th minute of play. When Horacio Oliverios fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobos de Carelia's protests and gave Horacio Oliverios a yellow card for diving instead. Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Libertad in the 39th minute of play. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Prospero Perico sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 43rd minute of play. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavao Zadro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Nicanor Izel made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vasile Tufescu. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darryl Buckner to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Libertad came free, but Nestor Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Perico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Bernaldo having to make a save. In the 56th minute Prospero Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Perico in the 62nd minute of play. Nestor Cortez made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Leopoldo Rosa sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wei Li in the 70th minute. Cleto Confesor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. Lobos de Carelia made a substitution. Cristobal Lia replaced Pavao Zadro. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lobos de Carelia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Nestor Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Nicanor Izel with Santo Libertad as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Perico in the 90th minute of the match. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Perico in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Rosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nestor Cortez. Leopoldo Rosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
