The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Medero Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Big Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Arlo in the 5th minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Zosimo Vadillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papillon AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Pueblo got free with Jean Van Damme in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Medero Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Pueblo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Jean Van Damme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Pueblo in the 21st minute of play. Zosimo Vadillo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Big Hands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papillon AC. Ramon Pueblo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jean Van Damme made a huge save. Big Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zosimo Vadillo in the 35th minute of play. Big Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zosimo Vadillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Jean Van Damme threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cirilo Arlo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Big Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Medina in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 63rd minute, Zosimo Vadillo made a precise shot to the right of Big Hands. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Gustavo Birila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Big Hands having to make a save. Zosimo Vadillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Big Hands when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zosimo Vadillo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Big Hands 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Papillon AC booed when BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Arlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Chris Velde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Big Hands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zosimo Vadillo. After some careless play in the Papillon AC defense, David Forsberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean Van Damme. The Papillon AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Van Damme should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Pueblo in the 80th minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Big Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zosimo Vadillo in the 82nd minute of play. Big Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Medero Medina in the 85th minute. Big Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zosimo Vadillo in the 87th minute of the match. Big Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Van Damme came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Dorotheos Kakatsios. But to his dismay, Dorotheos Kakatsios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3.
