The supporters of Colombia booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boleslaw Gecionis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Mastache got free with Juan Carlos Alvarez in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Juan Carlos Alvarez threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colombia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
