Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Fesport FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Marta Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Artur Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Johan Ekerot fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fesport FC's protests and gave Johan Ekerot a yellow card for diving instead. Johan Ekerot hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Senna to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marta Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marta Rey having to interfere.
