Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Buturugã read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Buturugã made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute Özgür Özbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. George Buturugã didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milagros Fraga went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Milagros Fraga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Buturugã having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Buturugã stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sulo Montaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 39th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sulo Montaña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Özbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özgür Özbay in the 54th minute of the match. George Buturugã made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 59th minute. LOI's George Buturugã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 90th minute of play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LOI throughout the match.
