With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taisto Pentsinen in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Manchester United FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdemar Kuoppala to make the kick off. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Valdemar Kuoppala took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eero Uusipaavalniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Kuoppala didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-7 via right post in the game's 74th minute. Manchester United FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 79th play minute Valdemar Kuoppala came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 0-8. Valdemar Kuoppalas short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valdemar Kuoppala did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 82 minutes into the match. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Eero Uusipaavalniemi scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 0-10. In the 91st minute, Alfred Laulaja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. When the final whistle sounded Manchester United FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venezuela.
