Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfred Sandström took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Emanuel Månsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the AIF defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarl Andreasson. The AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarl Andreasson should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jarl Andreasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarl Andreasson was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jarl Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarl Andreasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Jarl Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIF's Jarl Andreasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarl Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarl Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarl Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarl Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarl Andreasson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jarl Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarl Andreasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Ulf Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarl Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jarl Andreasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in AIF's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarl Andreasson came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfred Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarl Andreasson made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Jarl Andreasson came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
