Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Sørensen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Sørensen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zahari Kiratzov got free with Dante Lacasa in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slavey Kozovski in the 12th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zahari Kiratzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eero Grönholm. After 17 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristian Brolin who took care of the corner kick. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Sørensen. Thomas Sørensen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zahari Kiratzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Ivan Grivekov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Grivata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After 26 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Sørensen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Sørensen having to make a save. FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Grivata defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Sørensen. The FC Grivata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Sørensen should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Sørensen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
The wind increased when Eero Grönholm made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Eero Grönholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Sørensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of the match. Thomas Sørensen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Thomas Sørensen was a little too slow when Luca Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-7. Thomas Sørensen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lautaro Mancebo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 70 minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zahari Kiratzov in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to FC Grivata getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Lyuben Dimiev hit a great ball. A hard shot 78 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Thomas Sørensen managed to make a qualified save. FC Grivata's players were relieved. With a little luck, FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
