Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Bircan Bera started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buğra Gazzali having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goalkeeper Buğra Gazzali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilmi Hanbeyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buğra Gazzali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buğra Gazzali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buğra Gazzali came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Buğra Gazzali was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Buğra Gazzali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hilmi Hanbeyi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36th play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Buğra Gazzali and just under the crossbar into goal. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Buğra Gazzali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Seyfettin Cebeci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Seyfettin Cebeci hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Buğra Gazzali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Bircan Bera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Buğra Gazzali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buğra Gazzali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Aras Rüştü hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bircan Bera in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aras Rüştü didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Buğra Gazzali. The goal made the score 0-5. 79 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Buğra Gazzali having to interfere. After 80 played minutes S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r got a freekick which was hit by Ferit Elmacıoğlu. After 81 minutes of play S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Seyfettin Cebeci was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 82nd match minute, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seyfettin Cebeci to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 87th minute of play forced S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goalkeeper Buğra Gazzali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
