If Betinho Lenzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Lenzi in the 3rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Lenzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emre Çeliksu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betinho Lenzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 15th minute, Betinho Lenzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FALCÕES VERDES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Betinho Lenzi was slow to take the kick. During this time FALCÕES VERDES's players had a chance to rest. Sakarias Åström was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Panama booed when FALCÕES VERDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos McAllister didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play forced FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Jiang Yu Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Lenzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betinho Lenzi ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Lenzi in the 41st minute of play. Jiang Yu Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 45th minute of play.

After 56 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. Jiang Yu Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 66th minute of the match. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FALCÕES VERDES's goalie prevented a goal. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betinho Lenzi in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betinho Lenzi in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. Jiang Yu Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 87th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Betinho Lenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FALCÕES VERDES's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Lenzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Lenzi came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
